Recently I flew to Australia to photograph a Melbourne wedding for the lovely heads Tom and Tori.
Back in 2011 when Jasmine and I were on our world adventure, I saved a seat for two twangy and very tanned Australians. We were on a tour bus somewhere in Europe and I didn’t think much of it. But 4 years on I had the pleasure of photographing their Melbourne wedding! I think it turned out to be a good move to save them that seat. Tom & Tori are absolute legends and it was a pleasure to be a part of their celebrations.
The weather looked a bit dodgy the morning of the wedding, but the rain held off. I was so happy that we were left with nice soft light, with the sun coming out when we needed it to. I loved that our field photo location used to belong to some family member of Tom’s many moons ago. The brick chimney was the only remains of an ancient homestead. I really appreciate that kind of significance, it’s awesome to include in photos. One of my favourite moments was photographing their dog, Diz. I’m also pretty happy he didn’t end up chomping the rings after balancing the rings on his nose!
Tom and Tori, so happy to call you guys friends! Thanks!
